This is a wonderful pair of old rusty farm wire baskets or cages. Actually, we were told that these were used to cover galvanized bowls of chicken feed, to prevent the chickens from climbing into the bowls, but we're not sure. Whatever they were used for gave them a great rusty patina.
Wouldn’t these be lovely lined with moss and planted with Paperwhites this winter? They would also be perfect if made into rustic style pendant lamps. The decorative potential of these seems endless!
They are rusty with a few minor bends to the wire.
They each measure 8” in diameter by 8 3/4“ tall.
